GerriGerri Henwood
Ms. Henwood is the President/CEO of Recro Pharma and is President/Founder of Malvern Consulting Group. She was the President and CEO of Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, Inc (NASDAQ: AUXL), a company she founded in late 1999. She raised $90 million in private equity and was able to take the company public in August 2004. As of December 31, 2009, Auxilium's market capitalization exceeded $1.3 billion. Ms. Henwood successfully shepherded this start-up company through the drug development stage to its current position with one drug on the market and several more in late stage development and trailing 12 month revenues exceeding $60 million.

From 1985-1999, Ms. Henwood was the founder and CEO of IBAH, a contract research organization. IBAH reached a net revenue level of $150 million, as a NASDAQ traded company, before being acquired by Omnicare in 1998.

Ms. Henwood began her career with Smith Kline & French, now part of Glaxo SmithKline PLC, in the pharmaceutical marketing department. She rose through the ranks at Smith Kline & French to be the head of Regulatory and Medical Affairs for the U.S. business and then to the position of Group Director – Marketing in the International Pharmaceutical Division.

Ms. Henwood currently serves on the Board of Directors of Alkermes, Inc. (NASDAQ:ALKS), Garnet BioTherapeutics, Inc. (private), MAP Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (private) and is a member of the Board of Trustees for LaSalle Academy, an elementary school for "at risk" youth, in Philadelphia, PA. Ms. Henwood holds a B.S. degree from Neumann College.
AbrahamDr. Abraham Ludomirski  
Dr. Ludomirski is the founder of the Vitalife Life Sciences Fund. He is an internationally renowned physician with more than 20 years experience in life sciences, with particular expertise in medical devices, eHealth, and bioinformatics.  Dr. Ludomirski founded and developed the SafeKeeping Company (remote monitoring of high risk pregnancies), which was later acquired by a leading corporation active in this area. He has been a consultant to a number of Israeli and American venture capital funds and large medical and pharmaceutical companies, including GE Medical, ATL - Philips, Medison, Matria Healthcare, and QED Technologies. He has instructed and has led several start-ups through the process of raising capital, creating strategic partnerships, establishing joint ventures, and successfully achieving regulatory clearances. He was the chairman of Sightline Technologies Ltd., a Vitalife I portfolio company sold to Stryker Corporation, and he also serves as a director of several other portfolio companies.

Dr. Ludomirski earned his M.D. at the Sackler Tel-Aviv University Medical School and specialized in OB-GYN. Following medical school, he completed his fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in maternal fetal medicine. He was one of the founders of the fetal surgery program and established an internationally known fetal blood-sampling registry. He served as the Director of the Maternal Fetal Medicine Division and as a Professor of OB-GYN at Temple University Medical School for three years. Dr. Ludomirski has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and has lectured around the world. He has also served as a reviewer for several leading medical journals.

WayneWeiemanWayne B. Weisman
Mr. Weisman has been Managing Director and a member of the investment committee of Vitalife Life Sciences Fund since its inception, and has worked closely with Vitalife since SCP Partners became Vitalife's U.S. sponsor in 2002. He has extensive experience in venture capital investing, particularly in the life sciences area, dating back to 1990. Mr. Weisman has been a Managing Director of SCP, a multistage venture capital manager, since its inception in 1996. He has led SCP's efforts in the life sciences area, which include investments in Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: AUXL), in which SCP was the first investor, and investments in Deep Breeze Ltd. and Trig Medical, both of which are also Vitalife portfolio companies. He has also led several other technology investments for SCP. 

In 1990, Mr. Weisman joined Churchill Investment Partners, Inc. as a managing director, and later that year became vice president and a member of the board of directors of CIP Capital L.P., a Small Business Investment Company licensed by the SBA in 1991. Mr. Weisman led many of the successful life science investments made by CIP.

From 1992 to 1994, Mr. Weisman served as executive vice president of Affinity Biotech, Inc., a life science company with drug delivery and pharmaceutical formulation technology. At Affinity, he was responsible for strategic alliances, financial strategy, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Weisman completed several strategic partnerships for the company, and he ultimately oversaw its IPO and merger into the company that subsequently became IBAH, Inc., a leading clinical research organization, which was then successfully sold to Omnicare Inc.

From 1987 to 1990, Mr. Weisman operated a management and financial advisory firm focusing on the reorganization and turnaround of troubled companies. He began his career in 1982 at the Philadelphia law firm of Saul, Ewing, Remick & Saul.  Mr. Weisman is a director or chairman of several companies, including CinemaStar, Inc., Gigared S.A., Anystream, Inc., Deep Breeze, Ltd. and Trig Medical, Inc.  Mr. Weisman received his B.A. cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in 1978 and his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 1982. He is a former board member of the Greater Philadelphia Venture Group, and he currently serves on the board of the Young Scholars Charter School.

WinstonWinston J. Churchill
Mr. Churchill has been managing general partner of SCP Partners since its founding in 1996, and has over twenty-five years experience in private equity investing. Previously, he had formed Churchill Investment Partners, Inc. in 1989 and CIP Capital, L.P., another venture capital fund, in 1990. Prior to that, he was a managing partner of a private investment firm that specialized in leveraged buyouts on behalf of Bessemer Securities Corporation.

From 1967 to 1983, he practiced law at the Philadelphia firm of Saul, Ewing, Remick & Saul and served as Chairman of its Banking and Financial Institutions Department, Chairman of the Finance Committee and a member of its Executive Committee.

He is a Director of Amkor Technology, Inc., Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Innovative Solutions & Support, Inc., as well as a number of private companies.  From 1989 to 1993, he served as Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System.

He is currently a trustee of Fordham University, Georgetown University, Immaculata University, American Friends of New College, Oxford, England, The Gesu School and Young Scholars Charter School. He was awarded a B.S. in Physics, summa cum laude, from Fordham University followed by a M.A. in Economics from Oxford University where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar, and a J.D. degree from Yale Law School.

AshtonWilliam L. Ashton
Bill is a Fortune 100 senior executive with over 28 years experience in Biotechnology management. He is extremely skilled at developing and executing long-term business strategies. Bill has been recognized in the U.S. biopharmaceuticals market for his expertise in building and developing commercial operations and establishing key relationships with government agencies. Bill recently retired from a lengthy career at Amgen Inc., the world's largest biotech firm. He served as Vice President of Commercial Affairs and Reimbursement (2003–2005) and was directly responsible for strategy development and corporate activities designed for key government agencies including: Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Office of Inspector General, Government Accountability Office, Office of Management and Budget, and MedPAC.

Prior to that, Bill was Vice President/General Manager for one of the Amgen key business units where he had responsibility for sales and marketing of Amgen's largest customer base including Health Systems, Managed Care Organizations, Commercial and Government Payors, Distribution Channel, GPO's and Physicians' Practice Management Groups.  He also served as Vice President of U.S. Sales.  He served in these positions from 1995-2003.

Bill holds both Bachelor and Master degrees in Education and is currently Founding Dean of Mayes College of Healthcare Business and Policy, as well as an Associate Professor at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. Additionally, he serves on several boards as an Advisor and Executive Board Member and a Consultant.
